Foreign Rights
Our publishing house was established in 2018 and is a part of the Dobrovský company, which operates an e-shop and a network of bookstores throughout the Czech Republic. Today, we are one of the largest publishing houses in the country and we focus on both international and Czech contemporary prose, as well as on non-fiction and literature for children of all ages. Our current authors include Mark Manson, Matt Haig, Darcy Coates, Taylor Jenkins Reid, Agustina Bazterrica, Donato Carrisi, J.D. Barker, Diana Gabaldon and Mona Kasten. Moreover, we also publish timeless works written by such literary giants as Truman Capote, Hunter S. Thompson, Hubert Selby Jr., Francis Scott Fitzgerald and many others. The 1400brand focuses on world classics by authors such as Charles Dickens, Émile Zola, Jane Austen or Jules Verne.
We aim at the greatest possible diversity of our catalogue, the main goal being the ability to appeal to a wide range of readers. Each of our titles falls under one of the twelve genre brands: Fobos, Vendeta, Red, Kontrast, Kontrast Vintage, 1400, Gate, King Cool, Drobek, Via, Pangea and Talk.
